Etika adalah sistem nilai pribadi yang digunakan memutuskan apa yang benar, atau apa yang paling tepat, dalam suatu situasi tertentu; memutuskan apa yang konsisten dengan sistem nilai yang ada dalam organisasi dan diri pribadi.

Bagaimanakah tahap perkembangan moral, karakteristik individu dan variable structural mempengaruhi keputusan manajer untuk berprilaku etis dan tidak etis?
Perkembangan moral, karakteristik individu dan variable struktural sangat mempengaruhi manajer dalam berperilaku etis dan tidak etis karena 3 faktor tersebut merupakan sesuatu yang mendorong orang untuk melakukan kebaikan bertindak. Tahap –tahap perkembangan Moral berpandangan bahwa penalaran moral, yang merupakan dasar dari perilaku etis.

Apa kode etik itu dan bagaimana cara meningkatkan keefektifannya?
Kode Etik Dapat diartikan pola aturan, tata cara, tanda, pedoman etis dalam melakukan suatu kegiatan atau pekerjaan. Kode etik merupakan pola aturan atau tata cara sebagai pedoman berperilaku. Penyalahgunaan kode etik yang berat akan masuk ke dalam norma hokum.

Bagaimana manajer mengambil keputusan yang etis?
Manajer dapat dikatakan mengambil keputusan secara etis apabila keputusan yang diambilnya tidak menyimpang dari norma-norma ataupun aturan yang ada atau disepakati.

Jelaskan faktor-faktor yang menentukan intensitas etika dari keputusan!
1. Besarnya akibat adalah jumalh kerugian atau keuntungan yang dihasilkan dari suatu keputusan etika. Makin banyak orang yang dirugikan atau semakin besar kerugian yang diderita oleh orang-orang itu, maka semakin besar akibatnya.

2. Kesepakatan social adalah kesepakatan apakah suatu perilaku itu baik atau buruk. Sebagai contoh, selain dari tindakan mempertahankan diri, banyak orang belum sepakat apakah membunuh adalah salah. Namun, banyak orang belum sepakat terhadap aborsi atau hukuman mati.

3. Kemungkinan akibat adalah kesempatan dimana sesuatu akan terjadi dan mengakibatkan kerugian bagi orang lain. Misalnya, kamungkinan akibat adalah rokok. Kita tahu bahwa merokok akan meningkatkan kemungkinan terjadinya serangan jantung, penyakit kanker, paru-paru, impotensi, dan gangguan pada janin.

4. Kesiapan sementara adalah waktu diantara tindakan dengan akibat yang ditimbulkannya. Kesiapan sementara lebih kuat apabilamanajer harus memberhentikan karyawan minggu depan dibandingkan dengan tiga bulan kedepan.

5. Kedekatan akibat adalah jarak social, kejiwaan, budaya, atau fisik dari pengambil keputusan dengan mereka yang terkena dampak dari keputusannya.

6. Konsentrasi akibat adalah seberapa besar suatu tindakan mempengaruhi rata-rata orang. Misalnya, menipu 10 investor masing-masing senilai $10.000, menghasilkan konsentrasi akibat yang lebih besar

pada menipu 100 investor dengan masing-masing senilai $1.000.
